Saint Paul

Bryan Ray Wibbels, 71, of St. Paul Nebraska, passed away on Friday February 12, 2021 at CHI Health - St. Francis in Grand Island, NE.

Family will greet friends from 4-6 P.M. on Thursday, February 18. 2021 at Jacobsen-Greenway-Dietz Funeral Home in St. Paul.  A Celebration of Life will follow at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Pastor Glenda Pearson will be officiating.  Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Bryan was born on October 20th, 1949 to Ray & Veda Wibbels in Spalding, Nebraska. He spent his younger years growing up on the family farm. After graduating from Wolbach High School in 1968, he attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln before coming home to farm.

Bryan became a proud father of Cole and Shane and raised them with former wife Charlotte Lang. Dedicated to teaching and supporting his boys he balanced work and home life. He was sure to attend all their sporting events and teach them how to become strong independent men.

Bryan was lucky enough for his career and passion to overlap as he farmed in Bartlett & Wolbach. As his career shifted to trucking Bryan successfully logged over a million miles for Grand Island Express. As Bryan stepped away from farming and trucking, he found a new passion rebuilding & painting antique farm equipment.

Those close to Bryan would describe him as hardworking, helpful & kind. While we rejoice that his body no longer suffers, we will miss his presence in our lives, and are comforted by the fact that we will be reunited in heaven.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Veda Wibbels; sisters, Lollie Dugan & Gloria Wibbels; & nephew, James Dugan.

He is survived by sons, Cole Wibbels & Val Warmuth of Fairbanks, Alaska; Shane Wibbels of Pleasanton, Nebraska, sisters, Marta Dugan & Tim of Greeley NE, Kay Budde & Dennis of Cario, NE; brother, Paul Wibbels & Michelle of Hastings, NE; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
