Albert Ross Forbes

Albert Ross Forbes, 50, of Omaha died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Omaha.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer.  Reverend Martin Leeper will officiate.

There will not be any visitation, Mr. Forbes was cremated.

Greenway Funeral Home in Palmer is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Forbes was born September 5, 1965 in LaMirada, CA to E. Donald and Joan (Davis) Forbes.

Ross grew up in Oklahoma.  He attended high school in Broken Arrow, OK.  He spent his summers with his sister Nancy in Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.

Ross worked in roofing and lawn care at golf courses.  He moved to Houston, TX in 1983 and worked for a year for Frito Lay, Inc.

He moved to Palmer in 1988, working as a farmhand and a number of other jobs.

Ross was united in marriage to Veronica Gay in 1996 in St. Paul.  The couple divorced in 2004.

He had been in and out of alcohol programs for over 10 years.  He lived his last five years in an apartment in Omaha.

Survivors include three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nancy and Larry McClellan of Palmer, Jeannie Forbes of Grand Island and Debbie and Nicholas Stoffel of Inola, OK; a brother and sister-in-law, Everett D. (Skip) Forbes III and his wife Tess of Grand Island.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Forbes.
